50" !!!!!! I take it you meant a 50mm
I swapped the original stem on my Meta55 09 for a 50mm, I couldn't get used to it so I ended up swapping it back out for the original stem, the original stem is what suited me best and no doubt you will be physically different to me... as I said it is all down to personal preference and what suits you...
and you won;t know until you try different combinations of stems and bars...

personally I think a 70mm best suits the Meta sizing as the top tube is already quite short
Maybe because Im kind of between a M and L size a 50mm would feel too cramped on my medium bike

I always ran a 50mm stem on both my Meta 5 and Meta 6. For what they bikes are capable of I felt they suited the bike better.

I think 70 is a goo in between, cause 50 is really good for the downhill, low centre gravity, easier to stay low dig in, but 90mm is easier for climbing, get your weight over the front. So 70 is a good in between

All about personal preference but 70mm here as well. Ran a 50mm for several weeks but was quite cramped and was getting pitched forward a bit on descents.
70mm just fits right for me. Certainly didn't feel stretched out when I was in the alps in the summer.
