I'm looking for some new footwear and am considering the Shimano DX shoes (MP66)? I've read mixed reviews from folk loving them to others binning them after a couple of rides. I want something that I can use for tearing about but that I can also wear off the bike when I get into work. Folk have also said to order a larger size than you would normally due to the fit. What are your educated thoughts and/or experiences folks?

I use a pair of Five Ten low's , no cleat compatibility, but i have flatties on my Meta , excellent grip and comfortable to wear off  the bike. Smiley

Yay, as long as you are planning on using them with clips, if not get the mp55 or something like tht, as the 6s are designed solely as clip in shoes. I have some and they are great if that is what you wold be using them for!

BTW you can get them for £40 at Winstanleys!

Talking of 5:10, they are bringing out a SPD shoe

Yeah, I saw that in MBUK. Bet Rob Warner is pleased. I'm personally going to get these. They look like normal trainers. I really like em

I have the 661's and I think they're way better than the shimano DX.  Size is exactly as it says on the label so no worries on fit either.  You can even get 'pimp' white as well if your that way inclined Wink

Cheers for all the advice lads. I use flatties so not bothered about shoes with cleats. As I'm going to be walking around in 'em during the day that would just be bloody annoying. I'm already using some battered 661s so fancied something different. The Vans look okay from the pics I've seen but I'm swaying more in favour of the Five Tens tbh. Just like the styling more than the Vans. Not to be too precious about my future footwear Grin

Anywhere cheaper than CRC for these?
