Anyone know if it's true that Merlin ain't Commencal dealers anymore? Been waiting for them to the bikes in to get a good price on a new Supreme but another shop that has them just told me Merlin ain't doing them now. True? Or is my local dealer trying to screw me into paying full price? If Merlin have stopped now who else for a good deal?

I called Merlin last Friday to see what they were doing with warranty replacements etc and they said they weren't confirmed they're not selling commecal next year but wouldn't confirm who they were going to choose.

I'd slo be careful zzikezz as your using Steve P's picture, "yippee-ki-yay motherf*cker" lol

Merlin confirmed to me today that they were no longer stocking the brand.   And all Merlin warranty claims were to go direct to madison.  Not sure how happy I am about this warranty claim development but it's somewhere in between pissed off and effing livid.

It's a shame to see a a big shop stop selling Commencal. I can only guess it's because of 2009's problems. Sure they had a bad year but surely this will only make them stronger (pardon the pun)

Anyone jumping from Commencal to another newish trendy brand probably have yet to go through this learning curve/problems.

There's always a plus side. They won't become common like Specialized or Giant if they're only stocked by a few dealers.

As I understand it warranty frames not in yet, in fact no frames in yet. I think the warranty ones are due very soon though.

On the subject of warranty, yours is with the shop who took your money, NOT the importer/distributor from whom the shop bought the bikes. This is the law.

I just spoke to Merlin, I get the impression that they've stopped stocking them because of breaks and godawful warranty/service/replacement.

They've not seen any 2010 replacements yet and have had some partial refunds...scarily low refund values though. They've said that they are dealing with madison, just not with Commencal so they will progress a warranty issue for their customers. Fair play Merlin. There is a customer e-mail address for Madison, I suppose they'll give it to you if you ask.

Commencal really have dropped a huge great swolen sweaty b0ll0ck this year haven't they
