Last year I was in Morzine, we took some lifts over to Chatel to the freeride park. Now I'm not really one to gripe about manmade trails, but there were these 'kids' (probably about 16-20, so younger than moi) that were doing all the drops and jumps. They would have been impressive if they hadn't always ended their sections with a skid.
We ended up eating lunch there just to watch their skids!
It was hilarious!
So much balls/talent and no sense.
The drifting is something else.
It seems very 'in' to drift. It's not faster or cleverer, but it's featured a lot in zee movies.
If your wheels are in full traction your in control and can carry more speed.
But if your riding so fast that they 'let go' it's good to be able to hold that.
But I heard you can end up hurting yourself in your, knee and wrist? I'm not sure, it might just be rumours, put out there by someone who couldn't drift, and has faked getting hurt as an excuse to not have to try anymore...

Get well soon.
