hey Guys!

Does anyone know as to wether Commencal have moved factories for 2010?
I have a 09 Supreme Dh and I have cracked an a few places! I know this has been a problem for a few of us. However, I want to keep riding the commi as its brilliant but I wont keep the warranty frame if its just going to crack again!

Anyone have info on wether that have sorted the cracking issues out for 2010?

Thanks chaps!

They have moved factories for 2010, but I don't know if its stopped the cracking issue as most people haven't got their frames yet. It will be a few months before any start to crack, if at all.

Three of the Ticket2rideBC guides have 09 Supreme Dh's and all have come through a full season of guiding in Whistler unscathed, so I don't think the cracking issue is a general one, probably random Friday afternoon builds!

i agree that the cracking issue is not a general issue, its just that other bike brands dont seem to have owner clubs so its not well publicised when say a Trek or Specialized frame cracks.
When i used to work at Nissan i know that the quality of work does slip a little towards end of a night shift even though every car is built the same way and inspected loads of times.
Are Commencal frames manufactured in Europe or Far East???

Far east, along with nearly every bike except Foes and Orange. My Scott even has one of those shiny 'Made in Taiwan' stickers on it. Class!  Grin

Yep. BTW, treks don't crack, they just dent and SNAP! seen so many people with massive dents in their session 88s, and snapped at the chainstay, around where the tyre goes through the frame.

Last I heard, even some Oranges are produced in the far east.

Not really an issue though, as that's where the best mass framebuilding expertise is.

Steve from real cycles has posted on here last week about the 2010 frames being made in a new factory to improve standards.
