I was thinking of entering it.. It's a pretty easy track, and massive fun
Great start to DH racing.

There's to be a mini DH event at Innerleithen on October 31st, but I'm struggling to find any details for it.
I think it's meant to be a push-up race over a short course, but I'll need to go speak to the contacts to find out more.

The Mini Dh series is organised by Chris Roberts @
http://www.minidownhill.com/
but no mention of it there
Is this an Alpine Bikes job?

It's not part of the usual MiniDH series, but I'm not sure if it's an I-cycles, Alpine Bikes, or InnerleithenMTBracing event.
No mention on any of the sites, but given the latest event organisation skills in the tweed valley, I'm not really surprised

Sounds great for me, but i see "miniDH" races as being easy like the moelfre track is, not too tech but real fun, inners is pretty tech

I'll be racing the RAF Champs that weekend at Longmoore Camp so won't be able to do this one, which is a shame as it looks a right laugh!

Yeah suppose, but its quite pedally, not much flow! They could use the not yet "officially" opened Deer Stalker

Where abouts in Inners? There's already a few 'unofficial' tracks on the other side of the valley

Its an offial track with the board for the info up and stuff, its not been officially opened yet. You see there is the Matador at one end, then the Cresta, the Gold then the trees stop! Just before the trees stop, there is the Deer Stalker, between the Gold and Cadon Bank!!
It starts as one track down a steep loose chute, then just after that it spits, one track continues straight ahead (not too steep or techy, joins other tracks at other points, inclusing the bottom of national champs track) and the other is mega mega mega steep and very very very tight
