oh yes,it will have contaminated the pads and the disc, the disc is fixable but the pads will be fit for the bin now. If u sand them down a bit they will be useful as emergency spare ones.
The disc will need to be removed and cleaned with an alcoholl based cleaner(no drinking it now  Roll Eyes  and vodka wont work  Grin  )

If they are sintered pads you can burn the oil off using a blow torch. You have to heat them until they are a dull red colour.

There used to be an old trick that a friend who made pads used to tell me to save contaminated pads, but tbh I've never tried it, but he swore it worked.

Clean them using degreaser / disc cleaner and then put them in a hot oven to dry them out, the heat will also burn off any contaminants.

As I said I've never tried it as I've never buggered up some pads, so you could be the first person to test the theory Wink

You can't put metal in a microwave, so I wouldn't recommend you use that unless you want a big bang too  Wink

I now you CAN, but I wouldn't recommend it, as I also found out to my cost when I put an unopened full tin of beans in one at 3am in the morning one night after a few shandy's Wink

You should have pretended to be asleep, then blamed it on your sister/brother/dog/cat/goldfish.

I've heard that it helps if you heat pads over gas stove (I hope that is appropriate word) in kitchen, but luckily never needed to try it.

Talking about microwave and light show remembered me of video aboutrepairing scratched cd.
