Most of the steep bits are short!
That route's about 16 miles, maybe nearer 18 using the Blackley Clough descent instead.

Fairholmes over Cut Gate, North America loop & back is also about 18, but could be extended to nearer 30 by including the Cutthroat & Crookhill Fm loops.  Now that would be a ride...

Sounds immense!  Looking forward to what the day brings.  I was wondering about getting a good ladies fit saddle.  Seen one for about £70, lot of money, but it gets excellent reviews.

I'm up for a good day if we can stop for a nice lunch somewhere as well, my batteries can get charged.

Might be an idea to swop mobile numbers too?  I'll need a postcode and as much of an address as poss. for the sat. nav. so I can find you guys easily I hope!

I'm up for this if I can make it.

1. 07 Mini DH. the perfect XC bike!  Grin

2. Reasonably fit and happy to go longer distances, although down is better than up. I take a while to get up hills, but I blame it solely on the bike.

3. Be coming from Bucks and can get there for any time really.

Thought you loved your saddle?

Conveniently, after 18 miles you're back at Fairholmes pasty kiosk!  Refuel, drink, feed the ducks, ablute and then another 12 miles (or more  Wink )

A theory we will do our best to test.  Grin
Better take those Minions off.

Gutted that I won't be able to make this as I've just had an operation on my leg and will be off the bike for a good few weeks now.  Make sure you post plenty of pics and hopefully I'll make the next one.

Got back home today to find decorating frenzy woman had been at it whilst I've been away.  But hadn't finished.  Stuff all over the place.  Only now getting back to the point where I can unpack my stuff!

So route ideas will be posted tomorrow - sorry folks.
