Yo.
So I have now swapped the forks and wheels. I went DT Swiss 240s front and back (15mm front hub) and Mavic 717 rims, the fork is a Fox Fit 100 RLC (
http://www.foxracingshox.com/bike/10/forks/32_F-SERIES).
It then weighed in at 11.6kg, so off came the bottleholder and barends (I had Spesh BG carbon) and on went my old alu cut-offs.
11.45kg...
I have Crossmark 2.35" which are nice, but if I swap them for 2.1" I save about 300g!
And I haven't got a nice stem on it yet,
and my rear qr is steel, DT Swiss do one at 52g or som'ing...
I almost wished I hadn't started!
Just had a customer with a 8.something kg bike, but no suspension, and light tyres... I don't think he'd ride where I ride, I don't want a bike I have to be too careful with.
The forks rock! and now I can brake as hard as I want and no wheel movement!
Except the LX brakes are a bit shit.
