And to celebrate, we've given the site a bit of a makeover.

In the two years since the Worldwide Commencal Owners Club was officially launched, we've gained over 2000 registered users, and we must now be the largest and most active mountainbike brand specific community website in the UK, if not the world.

From an idea from SteveB, it's grown well beyond what anybody thought it would.  And to celebrate 2 years, we decided it was time for a bit of a freshen up. The original CoC logo has served us well, especially considering it was quickly thrown together to get something that looked reasonable for what was essentially an experimental site, but it was time for a change.

So here is the new CoC2010 theme.

With inspiration coming from the new Absolut SX colourway, and additional colour options from the distinctive Commencal Neon Green of recent years, and the all new carbon additions to the range, you now have a choice of how you want the site to look.

To choose what style you want, simply select it from the style chooser, located to the right of the menu bar -

God you lot are hard ones to please  Roll Eyes   we have all been on at MC for ages to show us this new layout which we were all given plenty warning that it would be in your face colours and now lots of grumbles??  Huh?  I think i quite like it,the only problem is that the original one was pretty sweet and we have become used to the old faithful logo, but change is good for you. Nice one mc!!   Cool

the orange gets my vote, the carbon is too dull.  but one of the "m"'s seems to be drunk and fallen over  Wink   Grin

Bongy Wongy, you lot might have been requesting some form of update so the site now matches your pseudo 80s breakdance punk cycling clobber.

I for one never asked once for a change of format. Thought it looked good as it was.

I wondered how long it would take for the moaning to begin! Roll Eyes

It's a fact that people hate change, especially when it comes to websites, but sometimes these things have just got to be done.
The green was chosen for maximum brightness.
The orange was a little bit more subdued (actually, I couldn't find an orange with the same in your face aspect as the green!)
And the carbon as boring as possible while trying to minimise vast areas of whiteness.

If there's enough call for it, I can tweak the Carbon page background to be more white, but I'm not a fan of pure white backgrounds.

As for any other changes, there's none.
CoC2010 was just to refresh the look, get rid of that logo that I personally thought was beginning to look very dated, dare I say it, make the place look a bit more modern  Smiley
I could of changed a lot more, but things work well the way they are.

Additional features have been considered previously, but have been deemed not to be worthwhile.
Only things I may consider in the future are a dedicated gallery, and a wiki, but they're currently in the round tuit list, along with many other things  Wink

Have to admit it has very quickly grown on me, and I like that I can have different colours -
Carbon for descrete at work
Orange for at home
Green to help on those tender hungover mornings when a good wretch to clear out the toxins really is the best solution Grin

I think the stickers will look better too, will stand out better on most peoples bikes (unless you have a 4x)

While Im at it I like the new Real Cycles logo on Steve's blog as well

Isnt the world a great place Smiley now when will it stop raining?
