Ultimate = SDG Commençal superteam
Good = whatever is comfiest for you. WTB rocket, or Charge Spoon are two I'd try.

Spoons are good.
SDG Bel Air RL are excellent, but pricier.

Bel air RL's are only 19.95 at Merlin. Only in black though.

I have a SDG Bel Air RL Ti on my meta 6. The best thing I can say is that I didn't even notice it was there when I first rode it. Says it all really Grin

spoons are only 20 or 40 depending on crmo or ti rals, and they come in some sweet colours

The Ti is really only for the real weight weenie, or Ti Joe.
There's very little weight difference between the Ti and the Cro Mo version so save your £20 and get the cheap one.  It will feel the same to sit on.

Ti rails are more springy than CrMo.
Makes a big difference to those of us who ride hardtails!
(those on full bouncers probably won't notice any difference)

Are they? Guess that makes sense.
Suprised you would notice the difference, with the seat flexing as well as the rails.
My old Bel Air was a Ti one though and super comfy, and I've never directly compared them so I'll take your word for it.

It does depend on the saddle and the rails, but every little bit of springyness helps on longer rides when it involves a hardtail.

There are some CrMo railed saddles just as springy as Ti rails, but generally once CrMo gets that thin, there's strength issues.
(especially once it's got my 15stone ass on it, along with a 5kg back pack!)

Soon. Very Soon. I wonder how many will notice though?
(or will it all go t**s up?)

Staying up late MC?  Smiley
