Commencal dealer of the year ( again! ) SteveB from Real Cycles has written an in-depth post on the new 2010 Meta range on his shop blog.

"For 2010 they’ve gone back to basics: Make bikes that ride and feel better than anything else out there and stop trying to hit 'price points'."

Nothing exclusive, no sneaky pics, just a good overview in one post for anyone who needs a one click answer!

So if you want to lowdown on the range click yourself over here .

Enjoy

Replacement carbon rear ends that retro fit to 08/09 Meta 5's and some Meta 6's (can't remember off the top of my head and can't look it up as I'm away on hols at mo) cost £400.

400 quid is a small price to pay for...
If I was to up-grade my 55 it would be to a 6, more travel, more fun, slightly more pain on the up-hills, but me missus wants me buff.

Does anyone know how much lighter the new carbon swing arm is over the existing one?

£2K is kinda average, but £400 is pretty cheap, considering not many other manufactureres will make retro fit stuff to please those with older models, or as far as i know

Yeah I do really like that fact, it makes for a good 'keeper' bike, upgrade to new cool stuff, sve weight and customise!

When is Com bringing out a 29" wheel bike?
I rode one recently, with only 90mm travel, it rode nearly like a Meta in the rough and went up hill like a roadbike. I was really surprised!

If 2010 models have the same swingarm as 09 and I suppose they do, it really isn't hard to make retro fit swingarm Roll Eyes.

I am sure a lot of time and effort goes into this web site so I for one would like to say thanks.

BTW, an Online chat thing may be an idea
