It must be injury season.

I've just missed two weeks in france, due to fecking my thumb on some off-piste stuff at Glentress a couple weeks ago.
Thankfully I never broke anything, and all the ligaments are still intact.
It's slowly getting back to normal (consultant reckons another 3-4 weeks), but I managed to ride the bike at the weekend without too much pain. It still hurts like feck if I catch it in certain ways, or try grabbing tightly onto anything though Undecided

Going a bit too fast into a dodgy corner, and not really paying attention.
All I remember about the actual crash, is feeling the ground briefly touch my cheek, and me tucking my head down so the helmet done the sliding and not my face. Came to a halt, and my thumb was sore, making strange clicking noises, and I couldn't grip onto anything.

Plus I managed to pull a few threads out my brand new cycling top  Sad
And add another scrape to the bike  Smiley

That's generally when bad things happen.
Complacency is one of the worst things to have.

For those who haven't seen this photo, check this out. Hadn't been back on a bike long, 20 years probs.
I'm not a kid anymore.

Lips Sealed and my other mate has a broken rib from a ski jump landing gone bad through ferns and into a tree  Shocked was amazing to watch his acrobaticks but i must admit to cringing when i seem the tree shake and the rustling stop
