I don't think so...............................

So you are looking to part from your hard earned, and you may wish a hard assed trail bike such as the pitch, or you may want something a little more heavy duty and want a supreme 2 but.................................. they are both shitty brown.

Now take the stumpy as a prime example. Gets 10 out of 10 for every review and I dear say they have sold a few. But how many would they have sold had it been a better colour scheme? Do the boys from Spesh or Commencal just wake up one morning and think ...no I don't want to make much money from this particular bad boy.................I know I will make it brown!!

I know some of you will have bought the supreme in this colour and I don't want to offend, it is after all just my opinion, however this choice of colour just really confuses me in respect of selling bikes.

So brown bikes that look good..............................?

Based on your opinion? Have you done a poll?
Or do you just read the mags?

i have ridden the lapierre spicy/froggy and DH920 and also the meta/supreme (miniDH) and absolut...............the lapierres are lighter than their commencal variant, have good specs for about the same, more reilable, track well, climb without an bob (even on the DH920, only had a tiny bit)

You know, I typed a big long reply to this, but in the end, you're entitled to your own opinion.

Dom....are you really trying to just wind people up??

It is a little silly to be changing you mind every five minutes and then make broad sweeping statements not backed up by any evidence......

Just my observations

lol fair enough, but from my reviews of the two bike brands, lapierre is the better one, they cerainly have a better DH, designed by nico vullioz and riden my danny hart etc, and i dont change my mind every 5 minutes, ever since i tested them i thought they were one of the best if not the best bikes

Sorry if it comes all wrong and bad

Granted in your opinion you may think that lapierre are the better brand...they do have some awesome bikes and for those of us who remember Nico and his winning ways, it is great to see him back in the sport.  As for Danny Hart, I can see him jumping teams next season, especially if he can get his hands on the Junior Title.

But this is a Commencal Owners Club...does this mean you are only hangin around to challenge our views??

Just wondering?

NO sorry Tim i didnt mean it like that,  Sad commencal are a great brand, but as or the 2009 range they dont kind of have the flare that the 2009 lapierrre range had, that is all i am trying to say. And how do you see dany changing teams? who to?

I was in a bad mood earlier if i said anythin i shouldnt have, but im in a good mood now cause my dad phone RF and there are two shipents of cranks on their way, one sent last week one this week,  Wink

I am fully committed to Commie and love my two bikes but I kind of agree with Dom abit here (sorry guys) whilst I wouldnt say they are the best Lapierre are damn good bikes, they look good, ride well and are well specced, there is just something about them that is right
Don't get me wrong the same also applies to the Meta etal but it just seems to have stood still a bit too much during 08/09 (ok new rear swingarm design excluded) - hopefully that will change when the 2010 bikes land

If I was buying a new bike now I would probably go Lapierre, but having said that they are probably not as good value for money as Commies (and I would probably need to feed the owners forum through Google Translate first and not have such a laugh as on here)

I am however less fickle and also better placed to comment than Dom as I do have nearly £6k's worth of Commencal sat in my house against Dom's signed photo of an Atherton Grin
