Just had an email from Tally at Uplift Scotland letting me know that they're offering a 20% discount on their uplifts at Ae on 26th July or 08th August.

Just enter the discount code AeSummer when prompted to recieve the discount.

The offer is going on general release from 22nd July so I'd book fast if you don't want to miss out as the places fill up.

Hope some of you guys get to use this as I'm not going to be able to!

Cheers,

Chris

oops Grgos!! People were very lucky
If the towers need maintaining I am happy to help out - thats what I do for work - pylons and wires  Wink

not likely to happen on an uplift at Ae though, worst that could happen there is that the pickup truck gets a puncture Grin

looking at that photo it looks like the holding down bolts are still intact with nuts still on - the plates on the back legs have ripped straight off the bolts - that has to be rust but it would have needed something on the uphill leg to fail to start the movement - probably a crack.
That is a really bad connection design though - water is bound to gather at the tower base. In the UK we would encase the leg in a concrete 'muff' to stop water pooling around the base of the leg. I bet all towers of this type will be inspected and further problems found now
