Really like the look of the AM40s, but Wiggle don't have my size. Thing is I'm a 10.5 so don't know whether to try a 45 or size up and go for a 46. Bong, can you let me know how they size up?

Cheers  Wink

a 10.5 uk ccc? if that is the case then i'd say go for the 46's,my mate who is a 10-10.5  uk found the 46's to be perfect . im a 11 uk and had to buy the 47's (im a 46 in every other pair of trainers i have). Some people even go 2sizes larger with them cos they are quite small made,i think its cos they are japanese. but in my case 2sizes bigger was too much,i tried the 46 and the 48's on,found the 46 to be slightly too tight, the 48's were ok but slightly too big so i ordered the 47's and they are perfect. To be honest i could have got away with any of the sizes i tried tho, they are quite close.

yeah, I'm a uk 10.5. Just ordered myself some in a 46. Just have to hope they aren't too small now.

I can see why a few people might not like them but to be honest most bike specific flat shoes look stupid. I quite like them, but then again that probably says a lot about my tastes. Still a great deal though.

Oh and thanks again Iain for the voucher  Grin

The dx's dont come in flat tho, only in spd compatable,so u have to put up with the extra stiffness and metal inserts etc if u use them for flats, they are a bit clumpy cos of that, plus dont offer as good grip as the am40's cos of the bit thats meant to be cut out for the cleats . infact the sloes on the dx's are meant to be pretty bad for grip in any conditions except dry see link for dirts review http://www.moredirt.co.uk/reviews/Shimano-DX-MP66-Shoes-Review/865/

And the am40's look a lot nicer in the flesh,i'd even go as far to say that they are pretty cool.
The 46's should fit u just fine ccc, like i said they pretty much fitted me,just a tad on the tight side, but not uncomfortable.

Got my AM40s today and just wanted to say cheers Bong. Sizing was spot on. See what you mean about them coming up small. I probably could have got away with a 47 as well.

Had a quick ride in them today and they're excellent. A bit quirky to look at, granted but comfortable and amazingly grippy. Gonna try them tomorrow with the inserts and see what difference they make.
