Is there such a software that allows you to sharpen up a video ?? Like for example,i have a few mobile phone vids from not so good phones, and while they are not so bad to watch on a phone screen when they are viewd on my laptop(even when in a small viewing window) they just suck!! anyway of improving the quality of the existing vids?Huh?

Not that i've ever heard of officially outside law enforcement/military dude. The problem is the original sensor's resolution that the recording was made on... if that's low (as in most mobile phones) then you'd be needing something to approximate extra pixels to increase the resolution.

My computer mad son says he doesn't think there is any such software to improve poor quality filming.  He suggests a better camera!   Grin

That doesn't make any sense. You watched movies on PC and then put it on DVD and watch it again on PC? If you watched it on TV it is possible, because some Tv's have lower resolution.

They were all videos I recorded over years of the kids and used to watch them on a VHS then i got them put onto DVD and the quality was and still is better. But saying that, I have just had a severe knock on the head.
