An air shock by it's very nature has a much higher amount of stiction (the amount of force the shock can withstand before starting to compress) so in a rudimentary way this will improve pedaling. At the expense of small bump sensitivity. Generally speaking air shocks are not as plush as coils, meaning again they will have a better pedal platform.

But, an air shock for a DH is an acquired taste. Personally I like them, but most don't for DH. Unless your willing to experiment, stick to a coil.

TBH u wont bother about small bumps on a furious its meant to go big, and i will say tht ALEX PRO, commencal rider in NWD9 rides his furious with air
