Well, i went, took about 100 photos, and quite enjoyed the day. Was shooting with my nearly new canon 50d, so still getting used to it.

Only went for the DH race day on the sunday, as i was in Edinburger on the saturday for a family wedding.

But here's a few photos from the sunday.

Please forgive the processing, most of these are virtually straight off the camera, with a TEENY tweak in lightroom. Had a new hard drive put in my computer yesterday after the other one blew up, and i haven't been able to sucessfully install photoshop yet.

It also means that i can't update my website for a bit either... HO Hum!

But here's a few samples from what i took. Pretty pleased with all of  them, only had 2 binners from 100 pictures. (minus the 'testing the flash' shots).

If you want C&C, go for it, but i know these photos are carp compared to others.

I really need to learn off camera flash, and start using it.

Shame that a pro photog had taken the spot that i wanted to shoot from. Oh, and i'd love a 70-200 F2.8. The f4 needs that extra bit of DoF.

I do not class myself as a professional in the slightest.

Still got SO much to learn. Yes, i make a couple of quid here and there from it, but i'm no where near professional quality.

Lol it was certainly STRIKING... but actually it was to raise money for cancer research... they're going to auction it off on ebay and the money raised will go to charity.
