As some of you may or may not know, I'm upgrading (?!) from my 666 to a Supreme (thanks SteveB!)  Grin, but this has meant sending my 666 away to Realcycles to get everything taken off the frame and changed across....   Undecided leaving me bikeless and only the Commie powers that be know when I'll be getting my new improved bike back!  Cry Cry Cry Huh? Huh? Huh?

So I'm now stuck, in the highlands of scotland surrounded by biking nirvana and with no way of enjoying it... i feel like pete docherty doing cold turkey!  Angry Angry

Anyone else start getting twitchy when they haven't had their fix of riding?!

ARRRRRGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I hate to go on about it (honest) but at least your bikelessness is of your own making and you have a shiny new toy on the way.

I'm more depressed than twitchy though.
Going to go away and hang myself now. In a wardrobe. Thai style.  Undecided

Ouch... but at least we know who killed Bill.

Sorry Steve, forgot about your enforced bikelessness (and now feel about 2 inches tall)... have you had any news at all? Any luck with the insurance company?

It seems like you haven't been the only one who's had a bike stolen recently... do you think they may have been using the website to target people?

We don't give our addresses away so difficult to see how we're being targeted through here.  I'm pretty sure they knew what they were after though.  Must have seen into the garage at some point, not too difficult as I leave it partly open when I'm working in there.  A habit I will change.  Reading the other forums there's a lot of it about.

Insurers are playing the game OK so far.  Once I work out the replacement values & send them my receipts they say they will make a final check with their underwriters and pay out if OK.  So I won't know till next week.

Sorry - don't mean to make you feel bad and I'm looking forward to seeing yours built up.  I remember how I felt when I got mine last year Grin  and hope to feel that way again soon  Grin Grin

I do get real twitchy when I can't ride because of 'natural' causes. Weather, other stuff getting in the way, shopping trips  Sad  DIY jobs  Sad Sad  I always get really knackered really fast the first tme I get out after a break.  Like I've been let of the leash. Cheesy

That's ok mate.

Fingers crossed the insurers pay out soon and then it'll be your chance to be the kid in the proverbial... choosing which new commie you'll get to replace the missing one.

Maybe you're right mate. Perhaps it's just because we're all members of high end owners' websites that we hear about it more...

I just hope they try to break in to where my bike is... benefit of living behind the wire on an RAF base... ARMED guards, roving patrols, razor wire and patrol attack (NOT guard) dogs... PLEASE PLEASE let them try! Would be a bit of justice and payback lol!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I can't wait to get mine back... will be taking it to Fort William as soon as I can to give it a proper shakedown!

Well at least you'll have a good distraction in cheering Peaty and Gee on this weekend!

Parcel2go are absolutely cr*p, i've not heard a good word about them and just stick to parcelforce.... costs a bit more but never had a problem.

I'm going to try and get down to the Fort on Sunday to watch the finals if I can so I might catch you there dude!

Cool,i have no idea what i'll be wearing so not much chance in spotting each other, but have a good one man,may see you hanging around the commie tent drooling tho  Tongue  . Royal mail ended up being like half the price, parcel to go were pricing it at £15 and they said it would be 3-5days delivery and royal mail came in at £8 plus change for 1st class.

I'm having the opposite problem.  I've got two great bikes (Furious and Stiffee) both rolling sweetly, I'm unemployed so loads of time on my hands, and I'm even healthy, but I'm trying to resist the urge of riding too much or too crazy as I leave for Whistler a week today and don't want to get spongled before I go...

Try going without a bike for 6 months because of a broken frame, then you have an idea of what cold turkey is like.  Cry

It's not a commie btw.  Wink

Dude, that SUCKS! Although I did have to go 2 years without a bike when I first joined up, but I hadn't experienced the commie drug back then so it didn't feel as painful!

I can feel that pain lost 3 bikes to the scumbags,  just had a year of moody bike,  that was like Bill Clinton 'but I didn't inhale'.

Now I've sorted the bike it's like I've had a meta blow back through a chillum still buzzin' now!

Can't imagine what a old git I'd be if I could never ride again,  ha ha.
