put it this way - we got there at 12, left at 3.30
was not as good as I was expecting - alot smaller but it was really really hot - too hot to be testing bikes out around the course (given Im not in the market for one anyway) The dual eliminator, jumping and trials riding demos were good but couldnt be arsed waiting around for the finals tonight. Not as many stalls and stands selling stuff as I was expecting but there was some clothing bargains in the Liesure Lakes stall
Steve Peat pulled out of the dual eliminator too
I would still recommend it though, plenty to see and do (am uploading some pics as we speak) If you want you could spend all day blasting around the demo course (looked quite good but very dusty) and the racetrack on various demo bikes (remember to take photo ID and a utility bill or proof of address - had I been without other half I may well have just tried out different bikes) We would have stayed longer if it wasnt aware I was getting seriously sunburnt! (was with the missus too so was aware of her getting bored)!
Dunno about tomorrow as the pros were racing today, tomorrow is joe public on the 4x and jump course
Did meet Steve Peat, Gee, Dan and Rach though - they were cool. Dan was sat there with a marker pen in his hand so I tossed over one of his publicity photos and said "go on then if you must" Raised a nice laugh from them
Was no traffic asnd parking was fine - drove straight in (cycled home though as I am only 10 miles away)
UPDATE - some Team Animal Commie tent pics here -
