Sorry all, low blood sugar or something... I have too much freetime, but am still stuck at work, and cos I didn't bring a play bike today I can't spend the time, uh, playing outside while I wait for punters.

I think it looks like a very interesting design. I allways thought that's where the main pivot should be.
How would a single pivot design with a "crank pivot" like that act like on a 5 inch trail bike?

Here here on the comments thing. When I opened my new shop this easter it was in the paper and on the paper's website, first comment was "That's the stupidest idea in a long, LONG time!".. the comment didn't mean anything, why are people so weird on the net?

Anyway, back to topic:
Tron: the pivot is there so the bike can be run singlespeed, with gears it might suffer from Bob because the tight part of the chain, the top section between the top of the chainwheel to the top of the cassette will be at a different level/angle than the pivot. Which is why the Meta's pivot is where it is, roughly around the top of the chainwheel.

Yeah I know, Rufus. But it also makes the suspension super active. I'm not too concerned about Bob. He's a nice guy when you get to know him Wink

ahaha (sorry, terrengsykkel.no joke)

yeah, while i find the linked comment to be 100% on target i don't find that i applies here to such a large degree.

I hate it when people post comments solely based on how a thing looks and not on actual experience with the product over time. How the hell can one rate a product based on how it looks in a mag or based on reviews read??? Go out and try it yourself, then post comments. If you haven't and haven't talked to a person who has over time, don't post a comment other than concerning the review it self (what is good, what can improove). The link below is to a comment i made to a review on a Cannondale Moto3. The first comment is  pure rubbish imo, while mine (though time consuming to write) might actually be a bit of a help to a potential buyer or a user. Sure, i'm biased as hell - but when one look at a lot of the reviews coming from magazins these days, it doesn't seem like they are so objective or uniform in their rating criterias either.

anyway, keep up the good work

oh and yes, alas the last commencal in our houshold - a commencal supernormal disc - was stolen this wednesday so i'm somewhat of a poser on here now Wink

so what does this mean for the furious??? will they drop it as a platform or run it as a longer travel but very simimlar bike?.  This looks like it could be a super fun bike, but so's my furious, always leaves me grinning, and i hate to think that when my current one dies i couldn't replace it any ideas?
