Well folks you didn't miss much at Fort Bill today. Cloud down to the deck, drizzle and cold... yuk! Couldn't wear goggles as the rain just steamed them up and so had to ride without which just makes life more difficult than needed... still did 3 runs though which was awesome!

Easily the most difficult track I've ever ridden and the first time that I've ever felt I was under-biked... this 6 hour enduro is going to be 'interesting' lol!

Think I might have to try and trade up to a mini dh or a supreme dh... steve, any idea how much you'd for take a 666 as trade-in? Wink

I think a mini dh would be best suited for the enduro,i wouldnt want to try peddle an supreme dh up for the start section and a mini dh would be easier to ride for hours on end.

Sorry to tell you, I've already got one of those too, they're great Mega Avalanche bikes!

Lol cheers guys... you're probably right, the supreme dh will be awesome at fort bill (apart from the ride at the start) but for the rest of the year will be total overkill.

So, I've got SteveB on the case to give me a valuation on my 666 and see what deal we can work out on a Supreme 1!  Fingers crossed eh? lol!

keep the meta666, the hope guys did the endurance last year on them,, if u really want buy a cheap, reasonable old dh or short dh bike and use it then and sell it on. Or just dont get a commencal, get a cheap dh from another manufacturer, or see if u can hire one of the off beat bikes demo 8s for the day

Oh I can do it alright, i managed yesterday, I'd just really have appreciated a bit of a slacker head angle and a longer travel fork... I'll see what happens mate!

if you're S/M

In fact, in my current situation, I'm tempted myself.

Yeah I've had a look at both of those but unfortunately I haven't got the readies to get either of those hence part ex-ing the 666 and trading up... will have to see what happens, but I'd want a set of longer forks on the fully built one or i'd be just as well off keeping the 666.

Mmm,  Think there's more to it than just the fork length.
Perhaps you could just trade in a Tornado?
