On a slightly related Atherton note - I was behind a Vectra on the M6 J21 today with what looked like an Animal Commencal team Absolut (white - looked like last years graphics).

Was that anybody here?Huh? (another reason we need those stickers, beep at each other on the roads)

Popped to a very dry and dusty Llandegla last night, was in a bit of a rush as I had to repair my DRS in the car park and was super keen to get first blast on the new Mini.

Forgot to ask about the bike...sorry, I'll drop my mate an email for the details.

Car park was open till 9pm, but there were still people parking on the track for later rides ( only do it if you are riding after 9..otherwise it is just rude ).

New stuff will open after it rains! ( they need a good set of showers to settle the rock in ). Some awesome stuff in there to keep lots of people happy, cheeky lines, big berms, jumps, drops, hips and a nice pump track in the woods.

Moelfre this weekend :-)

ah then in that case - nice bike!!
How is shining cliff these days? Not been on the bike there only walking the dog recently, last time was probably 13 years ago on a fully rigid bike on an epic derby - matloack and back ride
The Chevin slightly further south is a good little path though if you can link it in with other stuff

So far it has eaten Cannock DH trails and carved lines at Llandegla. Tomorrow I am taking it on a Uplift session at Moelfre.

Pics, headcam and impressions to follow :-)

iain,

thanks mate!

SCW is still good, the naughty (area of special scientific interest) run is fun in the rain & the other side has been built up a bit since i was there last year.

Have you had a blast down critch chase, accessed via bullbridge?

jonboy - nope not really done much north of derby for a few years unless I can ride there straight from home (The Chevin is part of a loop I do through Markeaton - Kedleston and up to Belper then back down by Makeney and Little Eaton) The traffic on the A38/A6 means it is easier to go south for me - Ticknall or Cannock etc
Will have to look at getting up that way sometime
Anyway we are digressing from the original thread with our idle chitter chatter Wink
