wel im after a play bike/trail centre bike and i like dj style bikes that is low top tube type of bikes and also prefer hardtails as they are cheaper.

what does this soiund like

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/commencal/absolut-2-2009-jump-bike-ec017337

with thse forks in 120mm http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=21344
and shimano slx brakes f+r and probably clipless pedals(wanna give em a try)

what will the bike be like with them forks??

do you think all together the bike will be fine as a play bike/trail centre bike( such as coed y brenin and llandegla in north wales)
thanks

Don't know whether you would struggle a bit on the hills with that...

lol or 3 dude,  Grin  .

i have the 08 absolut2 and i use it as a all round play bike, mostly use it for dj's and park but if i fancy a bit of trail centre on it,im not let down, its slightly harder going than most AM bikes (i will get shot for this but what bout a 24seven deviant? thats what i had as my all round bike b4 i got 2 commies 2 replace it - a mini dh1 and the absolut2 - )  but when the going gets smoother or the jumps come into play then u will rule the trail!! just make sure u get it in long frame option, cos the short will be tiny (if u are under 5ft6 then it may be ok  Cheesy ),i find the long a bit snug at times (im 6ft1) but i wouldnt change it for anything, its the mutts nutts!

It would be okay, say with a 36t ring up front and a normal casstete on back. I know there expansive but how bout lookin at the absolut 4x seriously lush.  But sayin that theres not much difference.
