For the forseeable future I'm going to offer a price match to all users of the Commencal Owners Club on all 09 Commencal bike & frame. On each order I'll also throw in an exclusive Commie freebie: Not sure what that'll be, depends what I can lay my hands on, but it'll be things like branded mugs, hoodies, bags, banners, water bottles, beanies, etc.

Why am I doing this?

It's pretty obvious really, but to be clear, we all know that some dealers are offering big discounts on the range, we've resisted joining them in such heavy discounting and tried other methods, but ultimately times are hard and we need the bikes we have sold thru, so we've little choice but to give in and offer the same prices. In no way will our service be discounted along with the price, we will still be the best, and now we're also willing to be the cheapest. This will only work for us if we sell a lot of bikes, so we're hoping you guys will give us your support and spread the word about our deal.

If your only matching the price, why should I buy from Real Cycles?

Good question. The only honest answer I can give is to support the guys behind the site you all love, the guys who have championed the brand we all love since the beginning, the guys who work with Commencal and give as much back to the community as we take out, we've not a shop who just see the brand as a way to make quick money.

We can't beat other prices, well, we can, but it'll be by a quid but we can match them. We can throw in the freebies, offer our legendary service and hopefully give you guys a warm glow inside knowing your helping one of small passionate guys survive the tough times we're in.

I can give you really no more reason than that to buy from us opposed to the big online discounters. I hope it's enough.

If I'm out of stock on the bike you want (unlikely) and I can't do the deal, I'll thank you for trying us and say goodbye, if we can do it (likely) we'll take your order there and then and get the bike in the post. I wish you had this offer on when I bought my super 4 from Merlin. Having a problem with my Formula K18 frnt brake and Merlin couldnt be more bothered if next doors goldfish had just died. They might be cheap but the aftersales is non existant. Think I am going to take the hit and bin the Wop crap and fit a spare set of Shimano XT brakes I have in my shed. They are old and scuffed but at least I know I will stop when I pull the front brake rather than the current will I stop or will I end up hugging that dry stone wall.

Good on you Steve, with the uplift in bike prices this year I guess  you have to do something to stay alive and keep people opening their wallets. Hopefully this will do the trick for you.

Still if we can get rid of Robert Peston we may see some return of normality to peoples spending patterns and this may help also.

Have now crossed Merlin off my Christmas card list, deleted from my favourites, overwritten their tattoo with a picture of CG and denounced them in the local press as being on a par with an MP's expenses claim.

If only you had this offer a month ago! I ordered a 09 supreme DH (the black one) from bikeactive because they were the cheapest a the time. It just would'nt have made financial sense to buy from realcycles at he time because I would have payed 300 notes more. Maybe you would have matched the price?

but my itchy twitchy credit finger hit the loose left mouse button and it was done. Im still waiting for it thou as they had to wait for another
shipment!

My poor meta5 07 has taken some serious abuse and I dont want to break it doing stuff which should be reserved for the supreme DH.

I would have purchased the bike from realcycles in a heartbeat but you did'nt have this offer.
Although im sure you were selling at the same price about 2months ago then the price just shot up overnight!

Cant wait for the supreme DH to come! Then no more bike spending for me as i've spent enough money on bikes. My poor cry is crying out for some attention too! Damn supreme almost cost as much as the motor!

Then bike and car can go together to take me to the alps!

The front brake has been crap from new it has been bled at least 4 times now and flushed through with fresh dot 4 twice. I can get it reasonably solid after a good bleeding session but halfway through a ride you can feel the lever getting closer to the bar with each pull. It ends up sphincter clenching time. Last weekend I was riding round Rivington and nearly mowed down a group of ramblers when the lever came back to the bar (thinking about it killing some ramblers would have been fun but the paperwork would have been a mare)

The Wop shit has gone now replaced by my tatty spare XT brakes not particulary powerful but at least they work for more than half a ride. Looking round for something shiny on fleabay now fancy some Maguras or some newer XTs

The 09 Meta4x is stronger is the places it needs to be stronger.

Try changing the hose on the Formula. Sometimes they can split internally, meaning the seem to go soft no matter how much you bleed them but there is no visible signs of fluid lose.
