The annual Madison dealer awards took place in salubrious Milton Keynes at the end of Feb in the style most have come to expect: Lots of fine food and drink, plenty of new kit to look at and a damn good time!

Like last year there were two awards for the Commencal Dealer Of Th Year, multi-outlet and single outlet. At the awards ceremony the multi outlet was awarded to recent dealer appointee Evans Cycles who now stock the brand in most stores that don't have an existing dealer close by, but no single outlet award was presented. Numerous calls for the name of the winner by the CoC has been met with the standard reply "it's to be announced".

Well, today the CoC is please to announce that Real Cycles once again picked up the award, for the third year running, for the Single Outlet Commencal Deal Of The Year.

At this years event Real Cycles was unable to attend which goes some way to explaining why no award was handed out on the night. When asked how he felt about getting the award for the third year running, Steve Baskerville owner of Northern Ireland based Real Cycles, who was still celebrating the win in the rugby at the weekend replied "make mine a Guinness".

I thought I had. I said I accepted that they would want to let another dealer have the glory and also i couldn't go to the awards this year. But we're obviously too good ;-)
