yeah, i considered getting the 666, but i never really liked the meta 5 i had for a couple of weeks (doesn't feel as plush as the supreme), though in the long run though that might be a solution. The weight savings when you compare the supreme fr/minidh and the 666 frames isn't all that great though, it's roughly 500 grams or a bit less actually, and if that is so i don't think the saved weight is worth forking out the extra money for the 666 frame (as the builds for the two frames would be roughly the same). Especially as the supreme is more capable as a (mini)dh rig than the meta, or so i've been told by a guy who ought to know.

When i thought a bit more about it last night though i started wondering how fast i could've gone down with my 5.5 bike. That one is a lot lighter than the supreme, but i think the crank area would be too low and since this particular trail has a lot of small drops i'm not sure 140mm would be sufficient - especially up front. I dunno.

Have you tried running the head tube sleeve in the slackest position? Gives your bike a more downhill feel.
