Bet you could make quite a light build with that frame, set of matching white/red Revelations, a decent trail wheelset etc. One step closer to the ultimate do everything bike \o/

Wonder what the weight really is  Wink

Said it before, say it again: Yes carbon is sexy, but who in the hell is going to be able to afford it? Bike prices in 2010 already looking like going up a big chunk, lets concentrate on value for money not re-inventing the wheel every bloody year.

Just my opinion.

I have to agree with Steveb, it seems that most companies are using carbon because they can rather than it being much better than metal, minimal weight loss for maximum money. They look great and sexy but at what cost?

Hit a metal tube with a rock and what happens...a pinging sound? Hit a carbon tube with a rock..

I still want one though.

Bad time to be introducing higher prices IMO.

Not a lot actually, a hollow plasticy sound. Due to the flexiness of carbon I'd say it's just as fit to take stones thrown at it, butted aluminium tubing has weak points which bank on not being hit, if a stone gets launched at them they'll cave in. The danger with carbon is frame damage can be hidden, much like on your average crash, you get up, check yourself, check your bike etc, it's a bit more worrying with carbon as the damage can be internal.

I ride a carbon Zaskar btw. I bet it could take just as beefy rocks bashing it as the Meta, especially in the thinner areas, top tube etc. Smiley
