Considering a Meta 6
«

I have been tossing around retiring my 05 Prophet 4x, and replacing it with a 6.1 as my AM/ Epic bike. While I love going downhill on the 4x (it absolutely rips), it does not climb much better than my big rig.
Even though I have a DH bike for my North Shore and Whistler sortie's, I like to push my AM bike pretty hard and ride a lot of the same stuff. How does the 6.1 descend? Can anyone give me a hands on comparison?
Thanks

not a lot of takers on the response so far Seymour. I have a 5 not a 6 so can't comment, but I'll bring you back to the top of the pile here in order that my Commencal colleagues with a 6 can perhaps point you in the right direction.
You may also want to get MBR and Mountain Biking UK this month as they both have reviews on the 6.2. Good going down seemingly. Now where have I heard that before!!

Seymour.
You only buy a 6 if you're happier going down (ooer).
Climbs are just something to be dealt with IMO so I got a 666 (2 steps and RP23), but suprisingly they're not that bad on the ups.
But,if you want to hit the AM DH trails then you're looking at the right option
