Hi all

complete newbie to the site so bear with me.

I am after a cheap but good entry level bike.
mainly for family riding on tow paths, cycle trails and some road use.

I wnet to Irvine cycles.co.uk as I wanted a Ridgeback and saw this:

http://www.irvinecycles.co.uk/acatalog/ridgeback-mx4.html
the 2008 model.

further investigation gave me:
http://www.irvinecycles.co.uk/acatalog/commencalmtb.html

the 2007 combi for £249.

the problem is I cant seem to find much spec.
my last find was
http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productId=1584&categoryId=129

so my questions are

which is the best spec for what i want- leisure riding really.

which has the least aggressive geometry

and any other advice in general would be much appreciated.

I am trying to find a commencal dealer in kent to have a try out ( i am guessing I will have to try 09 models)

many thanks in advance

Andy
