This topic is coincidental .. for me..

My hard tail was lying around at home for the last 2 years and I didnt even put my leg over it..... (was pretty much a workaholic).... In March last year, I got a chance to ride around the Peaks and Lakes while visiting the UK.. the ride was fantastic... after coming back home I did eventually dust off the bike and started riding.. funny thing, it took me a ride 5000 miles away from home to get me back on to the saddle..

I loved it and started riding very regularly .. I love uphill climbs.. so in August my buddies took me for a steep 17 km climb... it was hot and humid as hell.... and the trail was crawling with leeches! .. on our way down, my suspension just wasnt up to the job (thats how my friends put it!!) ..my wrist took a lot of the beating and could not hold on anymore... I fell down and severely injured my wrist.. and took me out for next four months.... I just couldnt believe my luck..

My soft tissues in the wrists were bad damaged...I waited patiently day after day.. taking care, medication and therapy.. it was difficult to accept staying put with a painful wrist and listening to my buddies talk about their rides while I was sitting and doing nothing!!! that was the lowest point in 2008

I swore that I'd get the best full susser there was and get back on the trail... sat on my Mac and did my 6 week long research.. at the end I wanted nothing less than my Meta 5.. having paid an advance, the wait was heart breaking.. week after week.. I had almost given up..

It was sweet December when my long awaited Meta finally came into my hands!! havent stopped grinning since  Grin my knees can hardly keep up.. my highlight in 2008!!

Yesterday, along with my ride buddies, we rode up the the same 17km trail again .. and dropped down an even steeper single track with was about 3 km.. it was very steep in the trail went through a thick wooded areas.. more than half the steep tracks were on steps cut into the ground .. I was a bit apprehensive.. but the Meta was ready to go.. after the initial cautious approach .. I let it go... and how we flew  Smiley

no broken wrists.. I admire the team that built this bike.. it takes in everything and more.. I cant think a how a better or a more aesthetically better looking bike could be  built  Cool .. Maybe the Meta 6  Wink but what after that..

Take a look at this attached pic. Its from the ride yesterday.. the peak on the left is where the trail ends/begins....
