I can only ride one bike at a time.
However, my sister might be in for a rough ride if I trade Wink

Stiffening up the rear makes sense. I know some complains about the rear end of the alu frame. I don't, I think the alu frame is just fine.

kind of agree with steve b on the priorities of the manufacturers though. bikes like that wont be cheap.
in 2010 im guessing the vip meta 55 carbon will be £1495 with shock. just a punt - any takers Grin

I reckon the carbon with shock is going to be more than that sadly, £1600 or so

Forks look a little like Pikes but without the logos.  The mounts are identical to Pikes.  Max rotor on a Pike is 210mm.

Anyway isn't it the adaptor that governs how far out the caliper sits and therefore rotor size?  The IS mount has to be in the same position (relative to the axle) on any fork, no?  The only change they could make would be to rotate the mount around the axle a bit

Interesting looking machine with a different linkage design to the Furious.
Perhaps they should call it the 'Slightly Annoyed' or the 'Mildly Upset'   Wink

Even better, the 'Furious Duck'  Grin

Not ideal for the brand when the 2010 bikes are already getting published in January 2009. Particularly when they're trying to sell 2009 bikes...

I received these pics the other day from the Norwegian importer, he didn't say they were sensitive, but I kinda guessed so... I didn't leak them, but it's typical of terrengsykkel.... tsk tsk.

The slopestyle bike, singlespeed, full sus, looks interesting, and fun.

My first thought was with rear suspension, it can't really function properly as a single speed unless there's slack in the chain with a strong chain tensioner, which the picture hasn't got.  Everytime the suspension compressed the chain would tighten and limit travel or even possibly snap the chain!

Then I looked again and noticed that the bottom swing arm pivot is actually around the BB, (there appears to be a split clamp), so it will work!

Your bank manager?
But it might be less messy, and a tad better for your karma, to just blackmail him/her.

With any bit of luck the new ones will have a much stronger rear drop as the 06-09 ones are pish!!  we have had 11 rear drop out breakages in our branch alone.  so i have punted my meta.  i do miss it but at least i know my new bike has no known problems!  lol
