Love it, hate it, smear your partner with it and lick it off?

Is that just me then?

I voted Oh Yes however I don't eat Marmite, I eat Vegemite.

Vegemite on Toast is one of the best snacks ever! Smiley

There are differences between Vegemite and Marmite but for the purposes of this poll I classed them as the same thing  Grin

Marmite is ok on bread, but not toast.
Hot toast needs peanut butter so it melts and gums your mouth up.

Judging by the amount of people who hate marmite maybe wars could be won by simply equipping every private with a jar and making a big long line of marmite bearers who walk across the battlefield.
So many people hate it that it could even be used by virgins as a modern day smear on chastity belt.

Marmite not on toast?Huh? It rocks on toast, too gloopy for bread really.

An ozzy mate of mine made me try Veggiemite and I hated it...but I love marmite. Veggiemite tastes like end of wet ride sock smell

Peanut butter and marmite anyone?

Definately usefull as a contrceptive..my wife won't come near me if I've eaten it Angry

Marmite on bread or toast with cheese, cheddar, or even better the orange one (can't remember the name).
I can't get Marmite over here, but every now and then someone brings me a pot and I go a bit strange. Start saying 'wot' at the end of sentences, going out in the midday sun, and calling people 'chap'.

I love the stuff, it reminds me I am British, even if I have lived abroad two thirds of my life.

We're British, we won the war, we have the SAS, Steve Peat, The Athertons, wet root control, drive on the left (which is why, I tell my wife, I am alway overtaking Norwegian cars), and much, much more. Rule Britania!

Now if only I could get hold of mince pies for Christmas... and could persuade my wife and family to celebrate on the 25th and not the day before!

Fab stuff - sausage and marmite sandwiches rock!!!!

Well i have to admit that after reading this thread i gave marmite a try again at the weekend( i was staying in a cottage up in Glencoe and had drank quite a bit beer  Tongue ) and while i will NEVER be a lover of the stuff i reckon i could enjoy a marmite and sausage sarnie now and again.

I voted Oh Yes however I don't eat Marmite, I eat Vegemite.

I was just going to say they taste different and that Marmite is runnier than Vegemite but if you Google 'difference between Vegemite and Marmite' you find lots of other stuff that you don't really need to know such as...

Both are suitable for vegetarians.

Vegemite is made from a yeast extract. Marmite is made from a beef extract.

Marmite and Vegemite are both by-products of Beer Brewing Shocked haha
