Hey people

im looking to extend my bike fleet with a maxmax what i ant to know is.....
Are they any good(im wanting to use it for street and dirt jumping)
Is there any common problems with them?
What front forks do you recommend (im on a budget and i want some squish at the front to save my wrists a bit lol)
Any pics would also be cool for some ideas (i like to "trick out" my bikes if anyone has scoped a pic of my
furious they'll know)

Any advise tips n hints would be great

Cheers in advance

Well as far as i know the ,maxmax is just a rebadged Alu Absolut (im sure mc will confirm this cos he has had both) and that means that its the perfect bike for what you are looking for! its an ace bike,so easy to get in the air (infact its the only bike ive had to actually push it down mid jump cos it goes so high with just the lip and with me doing nothing) and is sooo easy to manual due to the short back end. I have the stock dirt jumper3's up front and they are perfect for what im after, plenty of squish to take the sting out a dodgy landing but not overkill so it effects the kick from the lip on jumps. the only thing is they are slightly on the heavy side, but not overly so.

I've just bought the 2009 version (in super bright orange) and I can tell you they are excellent (especially for the money). Everybody should have one to hone the basics.

The frame is exactly the same as the Alu Absolut range so its an excellent bike to slowly upgrade. The remaining parts are nothing special but then again there is nothing wrong with them especially as a play bike. I had the same thought about upgrading to a fork but after an hour at the local BMX track it didn't seem too bad so I'm going to leave it for a while.

The only gripe I have is that the axles are solid (ie not hollow for QR) and use a 15 nut to hold in place. Dunno if it is possible to change just the axles so they are QR compatible (any suggestions?).

the maxmax is a great bike and looks sweet in the bright orange. i have had no problams with mine and is a sturdy and rugid bike. i would recommend the short frame size even if you are very tall because they are more monoverable and great for having fun on.
