Those forks look like a bit of a birch. Would be worried about the flex in the wood sapling my strength too. I suppose it's good to see someone branching out from the norm though. Yew could say the guy was going back to the roots of MTB by going for function over form, assuming the ride leafs a good impression. Hope it's strong enough, he'd be barking mad to ride it otherwise.

thats amazing man. your mate obviously has some ability as a designer/carpenter. and way too much time. Cheesy but it sure puts my pencil box which i made in woodwork back in 1983 to shame.
i would have been burnt at the stake as a heretic if i'd tried to make that back at my old school.

how does it ride??? is it viable strength wise? or 'wood' it bust under stress?

Owner say he ride bike about 3 weeks so far no problem - but this is for city biking not for racing  Wink He build two bikes beafore this ,and they broke beacouse poor building, this one is better .Main problem was geometry he says ..
BTW - yeeea snow is start falling realy hard  Cheesy
