It's only really the gearing that has gone down, it's a small amount too, I'm a little puzzled by the X9 derailleur with SLX shifters though?

Pretty sure it should read XT rear derailieur, certainly looks like an XT in the piccy.

yep, xt shadow rear mech.

Had a proper ride (cannock chase) over christmas on it and I was amazed. All those years fighting a hard tail to stay with my mates on their full sus bikes (couple of metas) and now I see why it was such hard work.

Looking forward to getting it out to Wales or Scotland and see what happens then.

Erm, it's spec'd for the UK market, by a UK company, for UK customers. Surely that makes it a UK bike?

Or am i missing something here?

Err, still don't get it. They're the importer, so who else could spec the UK one?

If your thinking it's some conspiracy, think again. The original, the 5.5.xt last year, only came about as some dealers (myself included) asked, begged, then demanded it. It was very popular so they did it again. Only the spec isn''t full xt this year so it got called UK  instead.

So finally got to Coed Y Brenin for 3 days, Karrimoor day 1, MBR day 2 and the old red bull day 3. The bike was awesome, never missed a beat and really showed me how hard i'd been trying to keep up with the full sus guys on my old orange zero.
