I got this lovely little number through last week!!

Just waiting for the XT cranks to turn up and then it is rideable, I hate postal strikes!!!

Will swop those marzocchis over to this years 55 ATA when they arrive in the UK. . . . . .

Lets hope my wife doesn't make me put it in the garage once its built!

Got the bits through today! Picture attached.

Meta 5.5 Vip Frame (Small) with 12mm maxle rear dropouts
Marzocchi Bomber 150 QR20 forks
XT Hollowtech II Cranks
SRAM X7 Throughout
Chris King Headset
Easton stem and seat tube
Kore Handlebars
Formula K18 Brakes 160mm rear/203mm front
WTB Podium Ti saddle
Hope pro II hubs with Mavic 719disc rims
Azonic Vigilante 2.5 Tyres

Weighs in at 32lbs with those heavy forks on, should be about 29.5 with Marzocchi 55 ATA forks when they come out!

I am glad I went for the small frame as the standover height is a bit tight for my 31inch leg!!!  Lips Sealed

First 'proper' ride tomorrow night, lets see how it compares to my old Kona Stinky!!!

 Grin
WOW!!

That is some serious big grin factor!!!!

It actually pedals uphill with no indication of the five odd inches of travel it has, I am finally relieved that I got the small frame, fits like a glove!

Well impressed, now when do I get those 55 ATAs, anyone heard any dates yet?

Bugger! that is a long way away! I will have to get used to those heavy forks, they are a bit long axle to crown and make the steering a bit slack at slower speeds, hopefully something the 55 ata forks might be able to remedy!

Finally the forks have arrived! Just fitted them and will post pics once I have put the rear of the bike back together! They do look rather sweet and make a big difference to the weight of the front of the bike!

Thanks for the Info!

I'm 173, but right now it seems that there's no frame in size s available.
Yes, i know, SteveB has one, but there are other problems, but hopefully they are solved by Monday! *fingerscrossed*

Ok, It hasn't stayed like that for long! I just had to change the front chainrings to Middleburn 26/36/46, they fitted fine with no clearance problems and mean that I might use the granny ring occasionally now, picture will follow when I have cleaned the bike out of the mud! Marzocchi 55 atas still going strong!

Update to the Marzocchi 55ata forks!  I have just blown a damper unit!!!!! now is time to make sure that the three year warranty actually works! They worked so nicely till I took it down a fast bumpy downhill trail, think the internals might just have worked loose as they have started to rattle as well! I didn't explore as it would be a bit silly when you have a two month old fork................... Shocked
