3 weeks 8000km Montreal to Moab (and back) with me Meta 5 in the back of my 98 Civic hatchback. Gave the Commie a pretty good workout, only issue was a wobbly rear XC717.
Most cops; Ontario. Toughest ride; Golden state park (climbing sketchy, rock-littered singletrack at 9000ft. plus altitude is tough on lowlanders).
My 2nd trip out there and I'll go back again.

Fall is my favorite time of year, winter can wait (remember the snow we had last year).
And in reply to this http://www.commencalownersclub.com/index.php/topic,1978.msg13176.html I gotta say western Colorado is quite the place for outdoor activity and I thought the colours and, em, lay of the land were quite sensuous. Mind you, Fruita & Moab will be way too hot in the summer.

Yeah, remember the post about trips. We have decided on Italy. Going to do the tourist thing first then head North for a week or so in the Dolomite's and maybe around Lake Garda.
Not looking forward to the snow. Hopefully it won't be as bad as last year. Time will tell.
Kingdom Trails should be quite nice at this time of year. Maybe a little cold but worth it even for the drive down.
