09 is my fifth  season with commencal, every year they tune the frames and deal with issues from previous years.

All the bikes are now in and all are built up, and i have to say, wow. I've seen the range before, in Andorra in July, but now we've had the time to paw over them i have to say this is deefo the best range yet.

there is re-enforcement where needed, extra metal where needed and all round better paint  jobs. It's all in pretty impressive.

If you've not yet seen the range get into a dealer and have a look, you won't be dissapointed.

As you say, too early to tell. I don't think the paint is as big a problem as some make out though. Sure it scratches, it's paint. Sure it scratches more than some, but no more than most in the same price band (paint costs too!).

I have to agree with Steve, the bikes look amazing. The good thing with Commencal is that they ride every bit as good as they look! Not something all brands manage. The Meta 5 and 6 look stunning with the new cleaner lines and stiffer linkage system.

On the White note, saw some of the line-up in Edinburgh Bike Co-op today and white rims featured highly!   Looked great in the flesh I must say.   The 5.5.2 they had was gorgeous but think I prefered the Absolut, that peppermint colour did look amazing with white forks and rims.

Good Work Commencal fellas...

I'm sure all the bikes look the part, but I'm a bit dissapointed to find out that neither the skin nor the ti frame come in an xl size. I ride an 06 Flame with a sweet custom spec and the geometry is absolutely perfect for me. In fact I love it so much, I was thinking of building up a second xc rig, bit more racy weeghtweenie style out of the skin chassis, but at 193cm I'll be needing a larger frame.

Size does matter!
Ah well, maybe I'll trim down my flame and use the parts for a meta 5, all in due time...
