They're crap this year right? Something that coincidentally happened with MZ shifting production to Asia?
Got a mate who loves my 666 and has looked at the custom Merlin build but it comes with MZ 55 ETAs (I got Lyriks) but I'm pretty sure I've read a lot of negative press on MZ's in the last few months? So I'm kinda advising him against it atm.
Kinda sad really because Marzocchi were the last word for reliability in years gone by.

Anyways,enlighten me Grin

In short...yes the 55's this year have been crap. Most sets have been back to Windwave (UK MZ importer ) to be repaired at least once.

Pity as I really like MZ forks, maybe a 2009 version will be more reliable??

My mate recently bought the "standard" 666 from Merlin and it came with Lyrics?

Yes, Crap,

Mine have been back three times and I now have Lyrik coils and they actually work.

Apparently they fitted a better damper on the last return but then something else went wrong, I did run them for about six months before chopping them in for something reliable so I did give them a chance to work, in fact I wanted them to work as they could have been good if only they didn't keep breaking! Angry

I am sure there are a few others on this forum with these problems too!
