avid 5's. constant rubbing despite cleaning the pistons with dot-4. awkward changing of pads. weakened spring before the pad wears out. lever shape (too far out for my small hands). i think thats it.

as for a better rider, we'll see thursday night  Wink

Good luck on Th night then.

I remember reading Yvonne Chouinard's "Climbing Ice" years ago.  He lamented the ease with which the classic north faces could be climbed using modern equipment.  "We overkill the classic climbs and delude ourselves into thinking that we are better climbers than the pioneers".

I think we should all go back to using clunker built bikes and braking with our feet. Grin

Or run the downhills barefoot & naked.
