OK, the win the bike bit in the title was a lie, but it's got your attention!

So, just for fun, guess the weight of this custom build Skin.

I have a pic of the bike being weighed, I'll post it if anyone actually guesses the correct weight.

One chance only so think hard.

I'd say just under a smidgeon, but not more than a bit.
So give or take 7.92kg +/- 2g

I have seen this on Eurobike, but I don't get the point. There are many carbon frames in the area of 1.0 - 1.3 kg, and all these frames will lead to such a build.

Moreover, I remember that Commencal advertise theSkin as a fun XC bike, with relaxed angles, and not like a Weight Weeny frame. Thus I really don't see the sense of this build. Using ultra light wheels, with semi-slick tires, an alu cassette and other super light and as may know not reliable components will make any frame build light.

Don't understand me wrong, I don't discard the frame, I even like the look of it and would love to test ride one, is just that I don't get the point of this build since there are lighter frames out there for the WW crowd. A reliable build in the 9kg rage would make more sens here in my opinion.

Cheers,
Adrian

Sorry guys I got the exact same pics from Com the other day... pretty light!
And the point?
Well who the hell drives to work in a Formula 1 car, but I like my ABS when trying to avoid that silly great elk sitting in the middle of the white/snowy/icey/slipery f-king road that the snow ploughs haven't cleared yet.

Oh yeah, did I win the bike?
And I actually believe I could ride this bike without breaking it... parts are getting lighter and lighter, and still keeping their strength.
