Hello all. In my quest to get my 5.5 under 30lbs, have any of you got one of the Easton EC90 seatposts? My seat is up and down more times than a bride's knickers when out on my bike . I want to know if the marks left by the seat going up and down all the time would cause strength/damage probs to it?

Cheers

Hi mate, I would buy a thomson elite post instead, by far the best post I have had, I had a black one and it seemed very hard wearing, I was gutted when it didn't fit my miniDH, I now have a raceface XY which was an expensive post when new but I will be buying another thomson to replace it in the future.

Thomson are fantastic, I've had one on my hardtail for over a year now which I ride 3 nights a week.  I change the seat height pretty much every ride due to riding a bit of road. The seatpost barely has a mark on it.

Cheers for the replies guys. I never really thought of the Thomson ones. I like to have my seat quite high and the 240mm one seems to be the lightest so will need to see if it is long enough. Should be OK, only got 29" inside leg and I'm on a medium frame.
