Hello,

at first, sorry for my bad English!

I ordered an 666 Frame (2008) an now i am reading in this forum of much cracked Commencal Frames, so i worry about it and have headaches if the frame is solid enough Sad

May anyone can help me with some experiences and take my headaches?

Regards,

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Commencal, like any other band, will have frames crack or bend. What you should be looking at is the number of frames sold versus the number reported cracked.
There are over a 1000 people on this board (1076 to be exact), and how many people have a cracked or bent frame? I am guessing less than 1%.
Take two extra strength advil's and enjoy your bike.

I've sold hundreds and hundreds of Commencal bikes, the number of frames breaking under warranty has gone down pro-rata quite a lot since the latest generation of designs was released in 2005.

What you need to consider is the fact that Commencal is still a very young company and they are pushing the evolution of their frames every year. Due to the fact that the present designs are really only 4 seasons old there is still much development to be done, this means all the problems are still to be ironed out, meaning they will experience a higher percentage of issues than a design that have been around for 8 years.

That and the fact that almost everyone seems to think the frames are way stronger than they really are and so can be used for applications they're not designed for, means we hear of more breakages than say on the Spesh FSR.

As we tell customers looking at our bike brands we tell them: Want a ultra reliable bombproof frame that is old tech, OK at most stuff, will never set the world alight but will perform the same day in day out for ever and a day with little or no maintenaince: Get a Kona. Want the latest technology that is awesome at some riding features, have an advance suspension system that will allow you to go faster than push your limits, but might kick up the odd issue from time to time: Buy Commencal.

Don't worry flowmotion , I was having the same thoughts before I decided to buy my commie (made a thread about it before buying like you have) but as people before me have said it's a tiny percentage  of the 1000 people here , sign upto some other bike brand forums and compare , I did and it settled my mind as well as the guys and gals of this forum convincing me Smiley

Look from bright side, if you breake your frame within two years by normal use you will get new 09/2010 frame for the price of 08 Grin.
