Merlin still seem to have some 08 frame builds in medium & 08 5.5.3 in large.
Spec & weight suffers but price has got to be tempting.

yeah i noticed them but want a frame only. Merlin are having an open day on Monday 25th with the 2009 range on display apparently, so going to go have a look, and try not to spend too much  Grin

JD are advertising the 08 5.5 vip (frame only, says large - in stock) for £899.
Merlin are advertising the 08 5.5.3 (complete bike sans pedals, says large - in stock) for £877.

Frames are the same apart from colour and rp23 shock on the vip.

You could pay less, and get a whole bike.
You could still strip it & build it up as you want.
It would be more work but you would end up with lots of spare parts.
Keep them as spare or sell them on.

Good luck on Monday!

I am tempted, but I'm a tart and in love with that green!

The offer from Merlin is tempting as i am building an On-one 456 at the moment and the parts would be good for a swap, will just see how it goes on Monday. Decisions, Decisions  Grin

Me and a mate are going aswell. Don't think I'll be spending much but my mate gets paid this week so I'm sure he'll be spending.

Quite fancy a long sleeved Commencal jersey so I can match Roll Eyes
