Just a random thread for you, feel free to add to it.

"No time wasters"

I see this more and more in Ebay listings, why? I mean, does someone who is a timewaster realise they're a time waster? I'm thinking not. Assuming I'm wrong and times wasters know they're time wasters do they see the words "no timewasters" in a thread and think to themselves.... "bugger, I really wanted to waste that guys time, now I can't"?

"Baby On Board"

Do they really stop people crashing into the back of your car? I'm thinking not. Do drivers who would otherwise tailgate hang back when you have one of those signs in the back of your car? If so, do they get right up close to make sure you do actually have a baby on board in case your trying to con them? If it transpires you are conning them, do they ram you?

Does this make you a time waster and do you know it?

Hope you enjoyed your free time!

Probably more of a rant rather than useless observation.

But what is it with mountain bikers and an ever growing attitude that its someone elses fault.

Used to be if stuff broke you just dealt with it. Nowadays it appears to be someone elses fault first. Also applies to riding.

There was a 'naughty' trail near where I ride. Problem is being in england we dont own huge swathes of land to make trails. But because of the litigious society we now live in, landowner has to protect themselves against being sued by riders who hurt themselves (can completely understand landowners issue here).

So some numpty tried to ride a line, broke themselves abit (not badly) and instead of doing the decent thing of crawling off quietly to a legal spot, brought all kinds of attention to the trail (ambulance etc). Understandably landowner has had the trail decimated as they cant run the financial risk.

Why cant the law/peoples attitudes be changed to take responsibility for themselves, then we could all build lovely trails without fear. Instead of getting this:

seems to me that people with  'baby on board' stickers are amoungst the worst drivers out there (after taxi drivers) quite often i follow a car with the said sign and they are normally driving at 70 mph down country B-roads with thier kids being thrown about in the back

Hot contents warnings on coffees etc, I mean come on how stupid are people getting nowadays.

Why do fixie riders hate roadies who hate xcers who despise DHs who want to be motocrossers? Its all bikes.

Why do people think frames made by fat fingered americans are better than taiwanese manufactured bikes.

What on earth were they thinking when the made all new bikes come with bells.

W.T.H happened to  Darwins Theory of Evolution. The strong and smart survive. You fall over something you don't see."get over it" instead of blaming.
Don't think we will ever get the "may of been made in a factory containing nuts" on Commencal frames soon.
