Ok, I own a 06 Supreme (MiniDH) and its very good. I've found a Supreme DH frame at a good price, and I was wondering wether it would be ok with 170mm forks at the front?

Also, has anyone owned both and are there any noticable differences in the ride- its only an inch more rear travel so not sure if its massively different.

it would prob, but where the ac height is the critical measurement. I know of people who run em with 180mm forks, but then again why would you run it with 170mm? The frame is designed to bomb down  with 200mm up front and have more weight on the front than the back. A shorter travel fork is gonna to a certain degree mess up the geos and the entire weight distribution/shock ratios of the frame. Putting on a shorter travel fork is def not gonna make it anything close to a am rig anyway. That being said, forks ac heights vary a lot so a 170mm mar might not be that much lower than a rs boxxer in 200mm mode.

If it's a good deal get it, but i would save up for some proper forks
