Rachel Atherton wins World Cup Final

Fresh from a Silver at the World Championships in Fort William, Rachel Atherton piloting her Team Animal Commencal Supreme DH bike has taken the Gold at Maribor Slovenia by a huge 8.63 second margin!
Gee
couldn't quite match that and settled for the
Silver
in the Elite men behind Sam Hill ( who added the World Cup title to his World Championship )
Eldest brother
Dan
stepped up earlier in the weekend and took a
Bronze
in the 4X
With only one UK race left that ends an impressive ( and eventful ) season for the Atherton family. Gee managed to finish 5th in both Downhill and 4X which marks his as the best all round mountain bike racer in the world. If only there was a 'Combined' World Cup Title!
Roll on next year...I wonder what colour their kit will be??

Been there, seen it
The whole family was just UNBELIVABLE this weekend!!
all of the races were awsom!
E.g.: On the rock section of the DH, named "rock'n'roll", there were about 1000
people!!!!!!!!
And on the 4X race, there was practically NO space beside the track!
I'll be definetly there next year!!

Unfortunately I didn't had my camera
BUT, my friend had a DV camera and filmed some of the riders.
(not all though)
Also in the movie: The crash of one of the 4X riders (from Slovak republic)!
I will post it somewhere as soon as I will get it, but I will get it on 1st of October. Sorry can't get it any faster.
