Cracked Superteam dh woes

Dear people at Commencal.
I am an unsatisfied customer.
I made several hard decisions before I decided to give you over 2 months pay for one of your bikes, yes 1 sixth of what I work for in a year.
I bought your lovely Superteam DH bike in lovely green.
It's the nicest bike I have ever owned... or it was at least.
Because, about a month ago I was washing it prior to polishing it after I had ridden it for a grand total of 10 hours, and I found a crack.
I spoke to the importer in Norway and they said they would replace the frame.
The next day they phoned me back and said a new frame was on it's way, but that there were no more green frames available, but that I would be getting a complete VIP frame in white.
I was disappointed, but it's just a colour right?
It's now almost a month later. The frame hasn't turned up yet. I leave for France (Les Gets) on Sunday, so I am pretty frustrated.
But I called the importer today and they had recieved a frame!
But just the front frame.
So I will get the front frame in time and build up an expensive, though butt-ugly bike.
I liken this to buying a Ferrari in red and driving around with one yellow door.
I am thoroughly pissed off.
It is too late to do anything about this now.
Oh, by the way, anyone want to buy a Commencal Superteam in white and green?
How the fcuk will I be able to sell such an ugly bike? It'll look like a pikey's bike! I may as well put a SID fork on it and mudguards!

Thats a real shame, the superteam was simply awesome and i'd be so unhappy to recieve a white VIP frame
I hope something can be done for you.

I know, as a professional sales person and shop owner I shouldn't gripe and send out bad vibes about a brand like I have here.
It's just I'm sick of being Mr Nice Guy. If I was a customer of a shop I'd be well pissed off.
And I'm sick of the attitude of it being just a bike. My wife said "The important thing is that you have a bike." Yeah I know, and I'm lucky to have a roof over my head, food in the fridge and clean water to drink.
I spent some time phoning around car workshops to see if anyone had time to respray, or strip the paint off the bike. Nope, not before the weekend... and paint a bicycle? That one I almost shouted at, poor guy.
The thing is, to be perfectly honest, the dh bike is great, but aren't all dh bikes at this price level?
And at my level? Would I really be faster on this bike than a V10 or a Norco? Probably not.
The Vip frame is quite nice (I have a Meta 55 VIP), but the front frame being VIP and the rear being just green? I don't know.
Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill, it's just a bike.
And it's only me, I'm not important.

well, tbh the whole reason we pay the premium on such bikes is partially due to the aesthetics which take our fancy, otherwise we would just buy a base item and change the crap parts. I know that why i bought my '07 team as it looked pimping at the time.
If the colour schemes weren't made into such a big deal then maybe we wouldnt care, but you liked the green superteam, you paid your money for the top of the line model, i think thats what you deserve ideally, especially since you only got a few hours riding out of it.
I just think it would be a real shame to end up not on the bike you bought, even if the colour is the only difference underneath it all.
How hard can it be to powder coat another frame?

Here in the UK the importer has a policy of changing an entire frame if the colours don't match. I recently had a 07 6.1 front end crack, they could only supply a replacement front end in white, which would not match the orange rear end, so they supplied an entire new VIP frame. This was offered without me needing to turn down the white front end, they already realised just a white front end would not have been acceptable. Commencal obviously agreed as they supplied the entire replacement frame.
What I'm saying here is the problem might be the supplier, not Commencal.

I was told a complete frame was on it's way... and then that it was stopped in customs in Paris.
i've had to wait for so long, called once a day, and the days passed.
I called today and while I was on the phone a guy came into their office with the frame, and he was almost as gutted as me.
If there was more time between me getting the frame an my hols I would get it powder coated, but there is no time.
Norway often gets bad treatment from the bike industry, we earn more money here, but there are very few people here, so orders are low.
Apparently Iron Horse sold all the bikes on the Norwegian order to some shop down under!!!

Commencal are a top company, not too big to be hindered by due process internally, so hopefully they can put in the extra bit of effort to help you out.

Hey rufus i totally feel you dude and i reckon it must suck big time to be in your position
...but hey look at things on the plus side, you will be able to draw some comfort from the fact that surely now you will have a 100% unique bike and there is NO Chance of you bumping in to some1else on the trails with the same bike as you
(hey dude you almost always need to look at things on the plus side,or you will never be truly happy in life)

Na ya got every right to be annoyed mate, I'd be a bit upset too if it was me.
But like 'bong69uk' said look on the up side, at least ya still got a rig to ride.
And if anyone asks ya about the mis match just say ya had to use the front as payment for the last time ya shagged their mother

Thanks for the great replies, guys.
This was bit of a rant from my side.
I have personal logos on the fork in green so that should balance the bike out a bit... we'll see, maybe it'll look great?

bet you got some artist friends. now you can thruly put effort in making a unique bike just for yourself if you sandblast eighter part or both!!! that was bad service i must say too but situations like this can develope positive in the end!!! keep your head up and enjoy riding!
